Drot\u00e1r \u2013 samouk, p\u00f4vodn\u00fdm povolan\u00edm administrat\u00edvny pracovn\u00edk, sa s\u00a0dr\u00f4tom zozn\u00e1mil po odchode do d\u00f4chodku v\u00a0roku 1980. Poch\u00e1dzal z\u00a0Ve\u013ek\u00e9ho Rovn\u00e9ho, kol\u00edsky drot\u00e1rstva, je preto pochopite\u013en\u00e9, \u017ee jeho v\u00fdtvarn\u00e9 smerovanie ovplyvnila najm\u00e4 drot\u00e1rska trad\u00edcia rodnej obce. Figur\u00e1lnou tvorbou ho oslovil aj umeleck\u00fd drot\u00e1r Jozef Kerak, v\u00a0susedstve ktor\u00e9ho pre\u017eil detstvo. Dom\u00e9nou pr\u00e1ce Ladislava Mikul\u00edka sa stali drobn\u00e9 figur\u00e1lne plastiky z\u00a0pozinkovan\u00e9ho dr\u00f4tu. N\u00e1mety pre svoju tvorbu \u010derpal najm\u00e4 z\u00a0\u013eudov\u00e9ho prostredia, ktor\u00e9 d\u00f4verne poznal, zo sveta rozpr\u00e1vok a\u00a0z pr\u00edrody. V\u00a0pozoruhodn\u00fdch \u0161tylizovan\u00fdch fig\u00farkach stv\u00e1rnil pri r\u00f4znorod\u00fdch pracovn\u00fdch \u010dinnostiach \u010dasto aj konkr\u00e9tnych \u013eud\u00ed, ktor\u00fdch osobne stretol, rozpr\u00e1vkov\u00e9 bytosti a\u00a0zvierat\u00e1. Je tie\u017e autorom dvoch fig\u00far vandrovn\u00fdch drot\u00e1rov v\u00a0\u017eivotnej ve\u013ekosti. Jedna z\u00a0nich sa nach\u00e1dza v\u00a0zbierkovom fonde Pova\u017esk\u00e9ho m\u00fazea v\u00a0\u017diline, ktor\u00e9 z\u00e1rove\u0148 vlastn\u00ed aj najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161iu kolekciu jeho dr\u00f4ten\u00fdch diel. Pr\u00edle\u017eitostne vyr\u00e1bal aj \u00fa\u017eitkovo-dekorat\u00edvne predmety, dekorat\u00edvne n\u00e1stenn\u00e9 reli\u00e9fy, dr\u00f4ten\u00fa bi\u017eut\u00e9riu a\u00a0opletal tie\u017e ve\u013ekono\u010dn\u00e9 kraslice. Je autorom dr\u00f4ten\u00fdch postavi\u010diek pre netradi\u010dn\u00fd animovan\u00fd film Drot\u00e1rska p\u00fa\u0165 (1992). Svojou osobitou tvorbou patr\u00ed k\u00a0najorigin\u00e1lnej\u0161\u00edm insitn\u00fdm umelcom na Slovensku.<\/p>\n<p>Z\u00a0pozinkovan\u00e9ho oce\u013eov\u00e9ho dr\u00f4tu vyrobil v\u00a0roku 1994 dr\u00f4ten\u00fd betlehem s\u00a013 drobn\u00fdmi fig\u00farkami. Tento tradi\u010dn\u00fd symbol Vianoc, umiest\u0148ovan\u00fd pod viano\u010dn\u00fd strom\u010dek, je \u00fazko sp\u00e4t\u00fd aj so \u017eivotom samotn\u00fdch drot\u00e1rov, najm\u00e4 z\u00a0obce Kol\u00e1rovice. V\u00a0\u010dase viano\u010dn\u00fdch sviatkov si sami vyr\u00e1bali jednoduch\u00fd betlehem, naj\u010dastej\u0161ie s\u00a0papierov\u00fdmi postavi\u010dkami. Ukryt\u00fd bol v\u00a0drevenej zatv\u00e1rate\u013enej debni\u010dke a\u00a0osvetlen\u00fd horiacou svie\u010dkou. Nosili ho zavesen\u00fd na krku a spolu s\u00a0drot\u00e1rskymi u\u010d\u0148ami \u2013 d\u017earkami chodili spieva\u0165 koledy po mest\u00e1ch a\u00a0dedin\u00e1ch v susedn\u00fdch \u010cech\u00e1ch.
