Jánošík and Terchová exhibition
Exhibition Jánošík and Terchová is located in the centre of Terchová village.
It offers a comprehensive picture of its native – the hero Juraj Jánošík and the village itself. It is divided into several thematic units that describe both: the history and ethnology of the village, as well as the life and welfare of Juraj Jánošík. Also, a part of it is devoted to the reflection of Jánošík’s theme in many cultural fields (an art, a literature, a film, a folklore).
The oversized oil painting by Ľudovít Fulla, which portrays Jánošík on horseback, as an immortal hero, is located in the exhibition. There are numerous wooden sculptures, painted ceramics, copper carvings and glass paintings.
The history and folk culture of Terchová village is in photocopies of historical magazines and number of photographs. Many exhibits are associated with a shepherding, agriculture and traditional living and music in Terchová region. The exhibition is also accompanied by a short documentary about Juraj Jánošík life.
