The Museum of Transport in Rajecké Teplice
Autor: Marián Bednarovský
The youngest exposition of the Museum of Považie region was opened to public in 2014 at the railway station in Rajecké Teplice.
The exhibition is devoted to the history of transport from the beginning to the present. It announces visitors with first roads, railway constructions, first cars and public road transport.
A unique part of the exhibition is the functional railway model that captures Žilina railway junction in the 1920s. An interesting piece of work is the dioramatic demonstration of the historic railway station, in which can be seen two time-appointed offices with signalling, security equipment and aids. The exhibition includes old bicycles, railway models, tracksuit sling, several Czechoslovak and foreign motorcycles.
